IDENTIFYING AND LISTING TRANSITION MANAGERS: THE LYA METHOD

Taking our inspiration from models used in the UK, Ireland and North America, our methodology generates an indicative forecast of an individual’s effectiveness and ability to consider the specifics of the work environment. Our model takes experience, results, soft skills and cultural factors into account.


3-step, streamlined selection process:

 

Referral

Referrals from at least two trusted individuals (peers, clients or the Alixio Group network). The Strategic Committee has to approve candidates for critical roles.

Selection interview

The all-important interview is conducted by the founder or partners of Réseau 137. Our involvement in the initial meeting and consistency in our dealings with all interviewees reflects our underlying philosophy.

Integration within Réseau 137

The senior or transition manager is told whether they have been admitted to our network. In order to concentrate our energies on those individuals who we feel offer the greatest value added, we are very selective. We often reject candidates after the initial referral phase.

ORGANISATIONAL METHODOLOGY AND SUPPORT DURING ASSIGNMENTS

 

1.  Before the assignment

Time is a precious resource, particularly in the field of transition management. So we undertake to present two candidate profiles within 48 hours of signing the engagement letter.

2.  During the assignment

  • Once the assignment has started, we perform an initial analysis and present our findings to the client within 8 to 15 days. The analysis serves as a discovery report and can be used to fine-tune the assignment objectives if necessary.
  • We hold meetings with the client and the transition manager at significant milestones during the assignment.
  • The manager completes a handover of information and procedures to the in-house team during the last few days of the assignment.
  • If required, there is scope for bringing in a multidisciplinary team comprising in-house experts, specialists from the Alixio Group and/or civil society.

3.  After the assignment

A three-way exit interview is held to discuss client and transition manager satisfaction.
